Protesters of sexual predator picket outside his church
PLANT CITY, Florida - Protestors handed out
flyers and held up signs on Sunday to let parishioners of one local church know
that a sexual predator could be sitting in the next pew.
Tampa Bay’s 10 News first brought you this story last week [full story], when a
group of parents protested David Lamb living in their neighborhood.
Lamb is a registered sexual predator. He recently moved to Plant City from South
Carolina.
Last week the protestors posted pictures of Lamb throughout the neighborhood.
Today they came out to warn parishioners of Lamb's past.
Paul Vasconcellous, Protesting sex offender:
“We want these people to be aware, because what this guy did and what this guy
claims he did are a very big difference. And make these children aware and
protect their children.”
Lamb's pastor says he's aware of his past, and says Lamb is not left alone with
children.
Rev. David Robinson, Living Waters Church:
“We believe that God can heal and change anybody and everybody, and that's why
our doors are open.”
Lamb admits to inappropriately touching a child, but says he wants to move on
with his life.
