The privacy of a Tarrant County jury pool was compromised after a convicted
sexual predator obtained a complete list of the names and hometowns of potential
jurors.
The news is disturbing for the 64 people on that jury list, including the 12 men
and women who delivered a 32-year sentence to Michael Davenport.
Prosecutors describe Davenport as a devious sexual pervert who repeatedly raped
an 11-year-old girl during a period of several years.
Davenport, who provided proof to NBC 5 that he has the list, told the station
that the court clerk mistakenly gave him the jury pool list, and that he simply
wants to expose the court's mistake.
However, prosecutors said the convicted felon stole the document.
Either way, the people on the list are unsettled by the news.
"It's invading your privacy … that's scary," juror Beth Neidholt said.
