Sexual predator speaks out about protests in front of
his home

LAKELAND, Florida - Some families in Lakeland are threatening to stop shopping
at Publix, because a registered sexual predator works in the store’s Lakeland
warehouse.
P.J. Vasconcellos, Parent:
“We’re not going to do business with them, if they want to hire sexual predators
and sexual offenders."
Parents don’t want registered sexual predator David Lamb working or living in
their neighborhood. They’re worried he’ll hurt one of their kids. But Lamb says
he’s just trying to make a new start.
David Lamb, Registered Sexual Predator
"I did my sex crime, I did my time and I want to get on with my life."
Lamb admits he touched a child inappropriately while babysitting, 10 years ago
in South Carolina.
He says neighbors aren’t giving him a chance. Lamb says that he’s had counseling
and has changed. He isn’t going to move.
Residents realize Lamb’s trying to make a new start, but they don’t want to put
their own children’s innocence at risk.
We tried to contact Publix for comment, but they did not return our calls.
